On June 26, we’re doing something a little different.
We’re setting up tables right outside our front door on Bur Oak Avenue, filling them with crayons, clay, and colouring sheets, and inviting the whole Cornell neighbourhood to come by. No registration. No ticket. Just show up.
It’s our first Community Wellness & Creativity Day — and we hope it’s the first of many.
What’s happening
Date: Thursday, June 26, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Location: 3028 Bur Oak Avenue, Cornell, Markham (right in front of the pharmacy)
Cost: Free — no registration required
Activities include:
- Colouring stations — large activity sheets, lots of colours, for all ages
- Clay sculpting — air-dry clay, rolling tools, and enough mess to make it memorable
- Community wellness resources — ask one of our pharmacists about OHIP-covered services, minor ailment assessments, flu shots, and more
You can stay for an hour or pop by for ten minutes. There’s no schedule, no agenda — it’s a community gathering.
Why we’re doing this
We’ve been in Cornell for a few years now. We know a lot of our patients by name. We know who’s managing diabetes, who just had a baby, who’s nervous about a new medication. We show up for people when they’re dealing with something.
But we also want to be part of Cornell when nothing’s wrong — when it’s just a regular Thursday in June and the sun is out.
A community pharmacy is more than a place to pick up prescriptions. It’s a resource. It’s a conversation. It’s knowing your pharmacist well enough to call them when something feels off, without worrying you’re wasting anyone’s time.
This event is about showing up as neighbours, not just healthcare providers.
Who’s it for
Everyone. Truly.
If you have kids who want to make something with their hands, come. If you’re retired and want to enjoy a few hours outside and meet people on the street, come. If you’ve been meaning to ask us about a medication, about what we can prescribe now, about transferring your prescriptions — this is a low-pressure way to do that while your kids are busy with clay.
We’re at 3028 Bur Oak Avenue. There’s free parking out front. We open at 9:30am on Thursdays, so feel free to come in before or after the event if you have a prescription to pick up.
About 2 Care Pharmacy
We’re an independent pharmacy in Cornell, Markham — owned and run by pharmacists Amal and Omar. We’re not a chain. We make our own decisions, we know our patients, and we care about the neighbourhood we work in.
Our services include prescription dispensing, minor ailment assessments (OHIP-covered), MedsCheck medication reviews, flu shots and vaccinations, compounding, compression sock fittings, and home delivery. Most services are covered by OHIP or your drug plan.
If you’ve never been in, this is a great time to meet us. And if you’re already a patient — thank you. Come say hello.
We’ll see you on June 26.
