About this program
This text-message program is operated by 2 Care Pharmacy (2 Care Pharmacy), an independent community pharmacy in Cornell, Markham, Ontario. It is a single-purpose, appointment-related program — not a marketing or newsletter list.
What we text you
If you opt in when booking an appointment online, we send at most two texts per booking:
- A booking confirmation, right after you book.
- An appointment reminder, before your visit.
Example message: "2 Care Pharmacy: Your appointment is confirmed for Tue, Aug 4 at 2:30 PM. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
We do not send marketing, promotional, or newsletter texts through this program, and we do not sell or share your mobile number with third parties for marketing purposes.
Message frequency
Message frequency is transactional and appointment-triggered — it varies based on how often you book with us. Most bookings generate two messages total: one confirmation, one reminder.
Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
How to opt out or get help
Reply STOP to any message at any time to opt out — you'll receive no further texts through this program. Reply HELP for help, or contact us directly using the details at the bottom of this page.
Opting in is optional
Checking the text-message box is never required to book an appointment. Whether or not you opt in — or if you opt out later — you can still book, get care, and reach us the same way: online without texts, by phone at 905-201-1497, or by walking in.
Who can opt in
You must be 18 years of age or older to opt in to this text program. This is about who may give consent to receive automated texts — it is separate from who the appointment is for. A parent or guardian may still book a pharmacy appointment for a minor (for example, a child's flu shot); in that case, the parent or guardian checks the box and gives consent on their own behalf.
How you opt in — checkbox proof
This is the exact SMS consent checkbox and disclosure text shown on our online booking form, immediately below the phone number field, before a booking can be submitted. It is unchecked by default — texting is optional and never required to book an appointment.
Shown unchecked, its default state on the live form — checking the box is the affirmative act of opting in.
Provider and other data handling
Texts are sent through our text-message provider, Twilio. This page covers text messaging only — for how we handle other personal information (website forms, cookies, analytics, pharmacy records), see our full Privacy Notice.
